Scouting - your adventure starts here...

Scouting aims to encourage the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual development of young people so they may play a constructive role in society as responsible citizens and as members of their local and international communities.  This aim is achieved through a strong and active program that inspires young people to do their best and to always be prepared.

The Scout section is for boys and girls aged from 10.5 to 15 years, and provides an active program of weekly meetings, weekend camps and outings to deliver this aim.  Scouts are encouraged to participate fully in the organisation and decision making of the Troop, and to accept and make every effort to live by the Scout Law and Promise.

Our Scout activities are based on a progressive skills development program involving badges and awards.  This is delivered through a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities, games, stories and outings.  The Scout section aims particularly at developing bushcraft and outdoor skills through activities such as hiking, camping and canoeing.
